A curious fox stole the spotlight on a golf course, following players from hole to hole and even inspecting their gear.
The encounter was filmed by Chris Mellon from Dublin at Deer Park Golf Club in Dublin, Ireland, as he played a round with friends
The playful animal nicknamed Gerry by locals sat politely watching as shots were taken before trotting after the group, sniffing, and nibbling at their golf bags.
Chris said the fox stuck with them for multiple holes, appearing to search for snacks while silently judging their “wayward drives.”
The viral clip has been viewed nearly two million times, with viewers charmed by Gerry’s caddying skills and impeccable etiquette.
Chris said: "This fox is well known for following golfers around the Deer Park golf course in Dublin, Ireland.
"He followed myself and my friends for multiple holed, looking for snacks while judging our wayward drives."
The comment section erupted in support for Gerry the fox.
One person commented: “What a beautiful thing to see, nobody throwing things at him. We took their habitat, all they have now is to try to scrape a life alongside us. Be kind to wildlife always.
God bless Ireland.”
Another wrote: “Unimpressed with that first shot, but willing to caddy.”
A third said: “I thought golf wasn’t for me. I might change my mind if this is what it looks like .”
