A nature photographer and dive guide rescued two tiny octopuses found hiding inside a discarded fishing float off the coast
Anthony Brown, originally from East Sussex, UK, now living in Queensland, Australia, shot this moment in Tamakautoga, Niue.
He had spotted the small white float bobbing on the water which had two baby octopuses inside, likely seeking shelter after being separated from their reef home.
Anthony’s team gently coaxed them out of the float and onto a clipboard, sparking jokes about his handwriting, before releasing them safely away from predators.
Anthony said: “We found these two guys bobbing around on a float used by massive commercial fishing nets.
"We managed to set them free in a safe environment away from predators.
One viewer commented: “So cute! Hopefully, lots of adult octopus soon.”
Another teased: “They are criticizing your handwriting.”
